How to Play

Fantasy Golf Cup is meant to be simple to play and to keep the focus on following your favorite golfers. The rules of play are:

  • Teams are selected for the season through a draft before the start of the professional season. Owners draw for 1st round draft order. “S draft” should be used for subsequent rounds.
  • Each owner will draft a team of 8 professional golfers. Each golfer can only be selected once. Insider Tip: Top golfers don't play all the tournaments, so its good to have some mid-tier golfers that will play the smaller tournaments.
  • Waivers/claims for other golfers are allowed but limited to 3 for the season to keep the focus on a consistent set of golfers throughout the season.
  • Competition occurs for all professional tournaments listed on the site. The only professional tournaments not included are those where individual golfers do not get a position at the end of the tournament (for example, large team events).
  • For each tournament, each team will start 5 of their 8 golfers. The 5 starters must be submitted prior to the tournament beginning. Starters will default to the first 5 drafted if none are submitted. A team may start less than 5 golfers if needed due to injuries or schedule.
  • Each golfer earns points based on their position at the end of the tournament. The team score for the tournament is the total of the points earned by its starters. Reserve golfers do not count toward team results even if they finish higher than the starters.
  • The league champion is the team with the most cumulative points across all tournaments in the season.
